Protner Farmstay

Tourist Farm Protner is located in the picturesque hilly region of the Slovenske gorice, just outside Maribor, surrounded by fertile vineyards and orchards. The location offers stunning views of the Drava Valley, Pesnica Valley, Pohorje, Kope, and Donačka Gora – an ideal starting point for a peaceful retreat in nature.

The farm is dedicated to integrated grape and wine production, while also cultivating fruits and vegetables in an environmentally friendly way. In the wine tavern, which seats 60 guests, you can enjoy homemade delicacies such as minced lard with meat, pečenica sausage, salami, boiled sausage, homemade bread, traditional gibanica cake, and house wines – produced on one of the best wine-growing sites in the world thanks to the soft carbonate rocks, marl soil, and excellent sun exposure.

A unique attraction of the farm is the herd of fallow deer, which visitors can observe from just a few metres away. One of the farm's culinary specialties is its homemade venison salami.

Tourist Farm Protner also offers accommodation for up to 11 guests, making it perfect for those looking to extend their stay and enjoy the unspoiled natural surroundings alongside delicious homemade food and wine.
