Slovenian National Theatre Maribor
The central city theater ensures barrier-free access to its auditoriums for wheelchair users and strollers. The older auditorium is equipped with an induction loop. Slovenian subtitles accompany opera performances. The theater hosts Maribor's annual Cultural Evening for People with Disabilities.
Maribor Museum of National Liberation
A rich museum collection in a beautiful villa in the heart of the city is accessible to all visitors. The blind and visually impaired can enjoy the exhibitions with the help of tactile objects, audio recordings, and audio content, and guide dogs are welcome. Exploring the city center is made easier for people with mobility impairments, the blind, the visually impaired, the elderly, and parents with young children thanks to a free electric mini-vehicle Maister that can take you wherever you want to go. This people- and environment-friendly vehicle can accommodate up to six passengers at a time and is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible ramp.
