Slovenian National Theatre Maribor

The central city theater ensures barrier-free access to its auditoriums for wheelchair users and strollers. The older auditorium is equipped with an induction loop. Slovenian subtitles accompany opera performances. The theater hosts Maribor's annual Cultural Evening for People with Disabilities.

Maribor Museum of National Liberation

A rich museum collection in a beautiful villa in the heart of the city is accessible to all visitors. The blind and visually impaired can enjoy the exhibitions with the help of tactile objects, audio recordings, and audio content, and guide dogs are welcome. Guided tours in sign language and videos with subtitles are available for the deaf and hard of hearing.

The gallery, located on the beautiful Jewish Square in the center of Maribor, is easily accessible via a ramp in front of the entrance for wheelchairs and strollers. The ground floor of the gallery is accessible to people with mobility impairments, while the restrooms and the basement of the gallery are not accessible. Free guided tours are offered to people with disabilities.

Mini Maister with a Great Mission

Exploring the city center is made easier for people with mobility impairments, the blind, the visually impaired, the elderly, and parents with young children thanks to a free electric mini-vehicle Maister that can take you wherever you want to go. This people- and environment-friendly vehicle can accommodate up to six passengers at a time and is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible ramp.
