Among them are a fibula from the 10th century BC, the city seal of Maribor from around 1300, a seating set from the mid-18th century, Rudolf Maister's cap, Marshal Josip Broz Tito's uniform, and women's ankle boots made of snakeskin from the Kleinschuster factory in the 19th century.

At the Museum of National Liberation Maribor, exhibits depict the tumultuous history of the border city Maribor in the 20th and 21st centuries. It chronicles the city's highs and lows, from one of the fastest-growing cities to one of the most devastated communities after World War II in Yugoslavia.
