St. Martin’s Feast Day in Maribor: Tasting the New Wine and Local Delicacies
Come to Trg Leona Štuklja and enjoy a huge St. Martin’s Day celebration, with the traditional blessing of the must and kiosks serving fresh wine and local goodies. Wine and food, as well as plenty of concerts, will wow both locals and tourists alike at other venues throughout the city center.
At 11:11 AM, a procession will wind its way through the city center, featuring the Malečnik winegrowers, the 13th Maribor Wine Queen Maruša Mukenauer, and the guardian of the oldest grapevine, the Mayor of Maribor.
Additional program:
- Wine and culinary offerings at various stalls
- Traditional must-curing ceremony at 1 PM
- The KUD Pošta Maribor brass band and the Študent Academic Folk Group will perform between 11 AM and 12 PM
