Exhibition Curator and Author of the Text: Alja Predan, Dramaturge and Theatre Scholar

The photographic exhibition by Damjan Švarc, meaningfully titled "There and Back," showcases the creative process undertaken by a theatre photographer. This journey includes familiarizing himself with the theatrical text and production, creating his sketches and notes, taking countless shots, and finally deciding which photographs would best fulfill the promotional and marketing role and transform into a theatre poster.

Theatrical photography is a unique genre with documentary, promotional, memorial, and aesthetic dimensions, but it is also almost the only thing that truly remains of a theatrical performance.
