The 160th anniversary of the arrival of the Franciscan friars in Maribor, who responded to the invitation of Bishop Anton Martin Slomšek and took over the former Capuchin and later Minorite monastery and the parish of St. Mary, Mother of Mercy.

This year we are celebrating the 160th anniversary of the presence of the Franciscan friars in Maribor.
We will celebrate:
*on Friday, 4 October 2024:
– at 7 p.m. St. mass on the feast of St. Francis, Fr. Marjan Čuden OFM, provincial minister
*on Saturday, 5 October 2024:
– at 9 a.m. St. mass
– at 10 a.m. a ceremonial academy with musical guests and a "historian chat"
– at 11:30 a.m. gathering
*on Sunday, 6 October 2024:
– Francis Sunday: St. masses at 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
