In her project "ARTE-FAKT", Lučka Centa explores the issue of waste as a global environmental challenge through Timothy Morton's "hyperobject" concept. The hyperobject of litter is a real entity that, due to its vastness and complexity, is impossible to fully perceive and control. In this spatial installation, the artist uses the rubbish she has collected during her performative walks and transforms it into spatial elements. Garbage is no longer a temporary waste material, but permanent artefacts that remain present in the environment, even after being thrown "away".
