Opening of the exhibition Brežice and the Attems family between the two wars

The exhibition presents the life and work of Ferdinand Maria III, the last Count of Attems on Styrian soil
For more than seven decades, the Posavje Museum in Brežice has been the guardian of the rich heritage of the previous owners of the Attems family. This year marks 330 years since the founder of the Styrian branch of the family, Count Ignac Marija I. Attems (1652-1732), bought the manor of Brežice in 1694. His descendants retained ownership of the manor until the end of the Second World War. The exhibition presents the life and work of Ferdinand Maria III (1885-1946), the last Count of Attems on Styrian soil, and the castle and the family's influence on the wider local environment in the period between the two wars. The exhibition will be presented by the author Mihaela Kovačič.
