In honor of the 150th anniversary of the birth and the 90th anniversary of the death of General Rudolf Maister, we have organized a literary-historical event, Rudolf Maister - The Maribor Legend. Through Maister’s life story and his poetry, we pay tribute to one of Slovenia's greatest national heroes, who, alongside fighters for the northern border, won the right to live under a free sun.

The event, prepared by Maja Borin, dramaturge of the SNG Maribor Drama, and accompanied by documentary materials from the University Library Maribor (UKM) and the Regional Archive Maribor, will be led by drama actors from Maribor Drama, Minca Lorenci and Vojsko Belšak.

We warmly invite you to join us in honoring the memory of Rudolf Maister - the Maribor legend who, with his courageous and historically pivotal actions, earned a place among the most prominent Slovenian figures of the 20th century.
