Payal Kapadia, 2024, 114 min, India, Netherlands, Luxembourg, USA, France Nurses Prabha and Anu are colleagues at a hospital in Mumbai, sharing a rented apartment. Prabha is married, but her husband, who has been working in Germany for over a year, has not contacted her. Gradually, she begins to realize that her marriage is likely over. Anu, 15 years younger and full of dreams, is secretly seeing a Muslim boy, which conflicts with her Hindu background. The two women are also bound by their concern for their older friend, Parvati, a widow who has been evicted from her home after her husband's death. She decides to return to the coastal village of her childhood, and Prabha and Anu join her. Away from the noise of the city, they find space for their emotions and desires to flourish, embracing the quiet of nature.
