Mate kaj za pusta hrusta - trick or treat?
An exhibition dedicated to the carnival celebrations of our childhood.
"Do you have anything for Pusta hrusta?" This is how we asked when someone opened the door we knocked on or rang the bell—begging for sweets and sometimes even money, from house to house, apartment block to apartment block, door to door.
Cowboys and sheriffs, Native American girls and boys, Draculas, Zorros, Pippi Longstockings, Charlie Chaplins, clowns, witches and wizards, mice, cats, ballerinas, princesses, kings, and knights… dressed up in costumes and masks that we made ourselves or that our mothers crafted for us.
Some of these carnival treasures and photographs will be on display in our little house by the City Park, bringing back memories of our first masks and carnival celebrations—and, of course, there will be some doughnuts too.
The exhibition "Do you have anything for Pust Hrust?" will be open until March 6:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays: 16:00–18:00
- Saturdays: 10:00–12:00
