Free tours of the PANGEA Museum - on the occasion of International Tourist Guide Day

On the occasion of International Tourist Guide Day, the Pangea Museum, which hosts the largest collection of fossils and minerals in Slovenia with more than 10,000 exhibits from all over the world, opens its doors.

On the occasion of International Tourist Guide Day, the Pangea Museum, located in Dragonja vas, opens its doors. It hosts the largest collection of fossils and minerals in Slovenia and more than 10,000 exhibits from all over the world.

You are invited to take a peek into the fascinating world of rocks, minerals, and fossils. On Saturday, 22 February 2025, from 13:00 to 16:00, and on Sunday, 23 February 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00, you can visit the collections of the Pangea Geological and Palaeontological Museum free of charge.

Free guided tours will also be available for groups, especially to learn about the new additions to the collections on display. In this case, please make an appointment in advance at pangeavp@gmail.com

Children up to 7 years of age will be able to choose a souvenir mineral specimen at the end of the tour. If you wish, you can also bring along a specimen of a fossil or mineral for identification and Mr Viljem will be happy to help you.
