Parni Valjak
Festival Lent 2025: Parni Valjak at Trg Leona Štuklja Square!
Love has no date!
Parni Valjak is not just a music band. It is an institution. With more than twenty studio albums, this Croatian group is undoubtedly one of the most successful rock bands from the former Yugoslavia. Moreover, they are also one of the longest-standing bands in Europe. Not just in terms of hit songs, but also in longevity, they can easily be compared to the legendary The Rolling Stones, who now measure their career milestones only in decades. The same applies to Parni Valjak—they first took the stage exactly fifty years ago.
Such a significant anniversary naturally calls for a proper celebration. That’s why the band, which has continued successfully with young vocalist Igor Drvenkar after the tragic passing of their unforgettable frontman Aki Rahimovski, embarked on an extensive tour. As part of this tour, they will also perform at Festival Lent. They shared the following message:
"Maribor has always been an important stop in our journey, and every concert in your city has been something special for us. We are returning to the Festival Lent stage, a stage where we have shared some of our most beautiful, but also most difficult emotions with you. Love, which is the essence of what we do, remains the eternal thread that connects us, and your support is our everlasting inspiration."
There is little more to add. Perhaps just a few titles of their legendary hits, such as Jesen u meni, Zastave, or Ugasi me. If you’ve already heard them live, you know why this concert is unmissable. And if you haven’t yet—it's the same. You must hear them. No, not just hear—experience them! We guarantee that this performance will stay with you forever.
