The festival, held in the first half of June, showcases the finest performances from Slovenian theatres. At the end of the festival, a professional jury awards prizes for achievements in various fields of theatrical creativity – the most prestigious among them being the Borštnikov Ring, an award for an outstanding acting career.

The festival takes place across 19 locations, presenting the highlights of the past theatre season. Audiences can enjoy a diverse selection of performances, ranging from classics to contemporary interpretations and from drama to comedy.
