Sharat Chandra Srivastava continues the rich musical legacy of his family and the Guru-Shishya Parampara tradition, which he inherited from his grandfather and teacher, Pandit Joi Srivastava of the Senia Gharana. As a long-time member of two major Indian bands, Mrigya and Parikrama, Sharat has explored various musical genres and traditions, which led him to form Sharat & Friends – a group that brings together music masters from different parts of the world and blends Indian classical music with jazz, fusion, and contemporary sounds.
