Festival Lent 2025: Dhafer Youssef at the LGM Auditorium

Magical Sounds of the Lute!

Tunisian singer and lutenist Dhafer Youssef blends Arabic tradition, jazz, electronics, and global influences in his music. During this exclusive performance in Slovenia, he will present his album Streets of Minarets, featuring highlights from his rich career.

Youssef's performance is more than just a concert — it is a profound experience that connects and inspires the audience. His crystal-clear lute sound and voice, capable of spanning multiple octaves, create an almost transcendental experience. Due to his exceptional musical abilities, he has received the BBC World Music Award and the Edison Award, and has been praised by publications such as The Guardian, The Times, and Jazzwise.

The concert will be further enriched by Armenian virtuoso Norayr Gapoyan on the traditional duduk, a member of The Gurdjieff Ensemble, promising a truly unique musical experience.
