Experimental Challenge
An interactive intermedia performance stems from an experimental challenge: how can a dramatic text enter the performance space through the principles of (computer) game mechanics, and how can a personal, intimate narrative of an individual become part of a collective acting experience?
The performance It All Continued with Frozen Lobsters follows the author’s text It All Started with Rabbit Stew, for which she received the Best Young Playwright Award at the 2020 Week of Slovenian Drama. While the first part mainly dealt with the theme of guilt, the second delves into the topic of shame. Through the stories of three young women confronting experiences of abuse, illness, and loneliness, the performance opens space for reflection on precarity, gentrification, and general social insecurity.
