Photography Connects Us

Maja Šivec has invited several photographers to the exhibition whom she has met during her 25-year journey of exploring nude photography.

Photographer Maja Šivec is always discovering new ways of photographic storytelling, approaching selected motifs in a planned and exploratory manner. Since her early series of photographs of naked pregnant women, she has been fascinated by the unusualness of the subject. The naked body, both female and male, is shown in a very direct way, without unnecessary concealment, without shame. For her, the body is always an interesting object, mostly with a direct or associated erotic connotation. As an artist, she constantly surprises with her artistic photography.

This time, for the exhibition titled Photography Connects Us, she has invited only a few photographers she has met during her 25-year journey of exploring nude photography. The exhibition features photographers from Slovenia, former Yugoslavian countries, Korea, and Japan.
