Yanu delves into the musical heritage of Africa and Asia, integrating it into the harmonic matrix of Europe. Jan Tomšič, the project’s leader, is a hidden gem of the Slovenian music scene, who began his musical journey in his hometown of Berlin. He has developed an original vocal style, deeply influenced by the knowledge he gained through studying in India and traveling across Mexico, the USA, and Asia.

Igor Leonardi studied jazz and classical guitar at the Academy of Music in Graz. He traveled extensively through Asia and Africa, where he immersed himself in ethnic music and various string instruments. He lived in the USA for ten years, where he studied with Don Cherry, one of the pioneers of "multi-kulti" music.

Anže Mikulan is a young-generation drummer and percussionist. A graduate of the Conservatory of Amsterdam, he will return there in the autumn after an extended stay in Slovenia. With his experience in world music and his refined sensitivity, he is the ideal co-creator of an improvisational pulse.
