VAKUM and Minoriti present: Filaments of Existence (IT) and Boštjan Simon (SI)

Two diverse projects united by their love for the saxophone and a passion for immersive exploration.

Coming from Trieste, we have two strands of existence, Filaments of Existence aka Camilla Collet on drums and Giorgio Giacobbi on tenor saxophone. Though, you may feel that there are more musicians on stage. With the help of electronics and effects, they weave interesting and diverse stories that occasionally resemble a science fiction movie. Their pieces often hint at ideas and meanings through the titles, but they allow the listener to create their own movies and scenarios from the musical winds and echoes ranging from rock, jazz, and metal to electronics. To begin, we’ll be treated to an eccentric solo by Boštjan Simon, one of the most interesting and active musicians and electrophonists in our region. He elevates and ferments the perception of reality by merging saxophone, modular synthesizers, and additional electronics. On the VJ chair, Toni Soprano Meneglejte will be spinning his part of the improvisation.
