Guided Tour: To High Frequencies

At the exhibition, 36 amateur painters are presenting their works. The tour will be led by painting workshop mentor and artist Natalija Šeruga Golob.

We invite you to a guided tour of the contemporary amateur painting exhibition To High Frequencies. The exhibition, featuring over a hundred paintings by thirty-six authors, fills the Preddvorana exhibition space.

During the evening tour and collective viewing, we will walk among the panels displaying the artworks. The tour will be led by painting workshop mentor and artist Natalija Šeruga Golob. Afterwards, there will be a discussion with the exhibiting artists. The tour and talk will last until 20:30.

To High Frequencies is an exhibition of works by adult amateur painters who attend workshops led by Natalija Šeruga Golob. Thirty-six artists are presenting their paintings. These are very diverse individuals who share a passion for painting and artistic exploration. They are united by moments spent “on high frequency” among pigments, colors, brushes, paintings, and books.

The authors have attended the painting workshops for varying lengths of time—some for over 20 years, others just recently—and with different frequency, from weekly visits to occasional summer attendance. All exhibited paintings were created through the patient process of mastering painting techniques and developing a personal artistic language. Equipped with tradition, and through various modernisms and contemporary approaches, each individual develops their own painterly expression. The artworks represent artistic wanderings and the joy of discovering the new and the unknown.

The exhibition is a homage to fellow painter Mija Miša, a long-time participant in the painting workshops.

The tour is free of charge. No entrance fee.
