From November 28 to December 31, 2024, Maribor will come alive with festive spirit as the program of the Magical December in Maribor offers a variety of exciting events for all tastes.
At the Trg Leona Štuklja Square live music will set the perfect atmosphere for concerts and the New Year's Eve celebration. On the Main Square (Glavni trg) a festive culinary feast awaits - the Christmas market, filled with delightful aromas, flavors, and magical lighting, will create the ideal holiday ambiance. A large Ferris wheel will take you on an unforgettable ride, offering a fairytale-like view of the illuminated streets and buildings.
You can enjoy cultural performances at the Slovene National Theatre Maribor, street and Puppet Theatre, as well as exhibitions in cultural institutions and on city streets. Vilinsko mesto (Fairy Town) will once again enchant the youngest visitors and all who still believe in magic.
Even more magic for extra Christmas joy
New to the Festive Maribor 2024 program is the Minoriti Cultural Quarter, where families with children can enjoy a variety of activities and adventures.
Festivities won’t be limited to the city center, as joyful December events will also take place at Dvorana Tabor Hall, and ice-skating fun can be enjoyed at the nearby festively decorated Ledna Dvorana Ice Hall. The rink will host disco nights, family skating, and skating lessons for all age groups.
