For all lovers of cultural tourism
The building was built in the typical "L" style and is around 500 years old! In 2021, the mežnarija was completely renovated under the watchful eye of the Slovenian Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage. The “black kitchen” and an event room for 50 people (showing the building layers) have been preserved.
The mežnarija stands right next to the Church of the Three Kings in Slovenske gorice. The well-preserved original walls are made of sandstone, the windows of wood and hand-forged elements, the doors and other pieces of furniture have been restored and enrich the space. It also has a classic vaulted cellar where local winemakers offer excellent wines from the Slovenske gorice wine region. Mežnarija is intended for protocol events such as civil weddings and other celebrations. You can also visit and taste local delicacies: kiblflajš (meat preserved in lard), homemade bread, klecnprot (fruit bread) and pumpkin oil with local wines.
