Bench no. 2: Bench of play, laughter, and connection

The second unique artistic Bench of play, laughter, and connection is the brainchild of Lana Topolovec and graces the playground of Osnovna šola Prežihovega Voranca in Maribor. Its dynamic form embodies the vibrancy, dynamism, possibilities, choices, and growth of knowledge and experiences that children acquire during their school years.

The bench's placement within the school environment has influenced its dynamic shape, while its tiered design represents past, present, and future students. This tiered design also allows for versatile usage, accommodating students of varying sizes and seating preferences.

In keeping with the boundless creativity of children, the bench can also transform into a playful playground.

Lana Topolovec holds a master's degree in architecture from the University of Ljubljana. She was selected as a collaborator on a multidisciplinary project at Stanford University in California and is the recipient of numerous architectural awards.
