The thirteenth unique artistic bench, named "Generations Bench," is the work of three young architects - Saša Žolek, Davor Fistrić, and Goran Piršić. It is made of recycled concrete and integrated into a low wall at the Maribor School of Design.
Named "Generations Bench," it not only serves its function but also reflects historical context. This spot was once a creative hub for different generations, including Professor and architect Janko J. Zadravec.
This 30-meter-long bench is the first in the "Bench and People" project, placed on the right bank of the Drava River.
Young architects Sašo Žolek, Goran Piršić, and Davor Fistrić graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Architecture at the University of Maribor. The bench is a gift to the youth, students, and all who gather in public spaces.
