The eighth unique artistic bench is named "(B)right Truth of Freedom." Its creator, Vojko Pogačar, dedicates it to ideals - truth and freedom, believing that we have lost them over time. Hence, you can find it in front of the entrance to the former building of the newspaper company Večer at Leon Štukelj Square, whose transparency and credibility we should trust, according to the author.
Vojko Pogačar graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Ljubljana (ALU). He was a member of several art associations such as the Paris - Belleville Association of Visual Artists, artistic groups 3H30, Paris - Bordeaux, Ant-Artika, and has had over 90 solo and more than 160 group exhibitions. He has been recognized for significant artistic contributions in industrial design and led the Laboratory for Product Engineering Design, also lecturing at the University of Maribor (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, FGPA-Architecture).
In 2016, he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Maribor (UM) for his contributions to the development of the study program in Product Engineering Design at UM. Between 2010 and 2017, he served as the president of the Slovenian Association of Colors, and since 2019, he has been the president of the Maribor Society of Fine Artists (DLUM) and vice president of the Union of Slovenian Fine Arts Societies (ZDSLU).
