The unique artistic bench "Embrace" stands in Pobrežje Cemetery. It is installed next to the arcades from the 1930s, and its design is conceived in the context of the local architecture.
Its author, Oskar Virag, contemplated the connection between visitors and the deceased, symbolizing a plant rising from the ground, wrapping around the bench, and embracing it.
Oskar Virag graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Ljubljana. He works independently at the architectural firm Vires, d.o.o. in Maribor. He has completed numerous projects and adaptations, among them the notable Vinarium observation tower in Lendava Hills.
