Sit next to the famous National Liberation monument
Visit the National Liberation monument, also known as “Kodžak” among locals, enjoy a cup of coffee and a chit chat, and do not miss the events taking place here all the time: fairs, assemblies, performances, parties, etc.
In the square you will be surrounded by many other places worth seeing:
- right next to it stands Maribor Castle,
- under the square is one of the oldest wine cellars in Europe, the Vinag Wine Cellar,
- towards the north, a nice view opens up of the square Trg generala Maistra and further on towards the town hill Piramida.
